Job Summary

Position : Tech Business Analyst (Data Controls)

Location: Sydney/ Melbourne/Brisbane

Job Type: 6 Months Contract Role

Essential Functions of The Job

We are looking for Tech Business Analyst (Data Controls) for a contract of 6 months contract role based out of Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane.

Qualifications Basic

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required from an accredited institution.

Skills and Responsibilities

- Reporting to the program manager, and be responsible for identifying, planning & co-ordinating tasks and deployment of best practises & techniques.

- Utilise specialist & BA skills to elicit, validate & analyse business requirements and devise technical requirements & processes

- Create business data lineage for the identified critical data elements

- Analyze data lineage processes to identify vulnerable data points, control gaps, data quality issues and overall lack of data governance and implement control to mitigate data risk

- Create data flow diagrams for all In-scope reports





- Utilize SQL server/SAS for extracting data elements from table and cross check data type from DQ checks.

- Work with the data architect and interfacing systems to identify data requirements & define interface contracts

- Produce project artefacts including, functional / non-functional requirements specification, process maps, data flows, data dictionaries, use cases and technical specifications

- Foster strong working & cooperative relationships with the business & technology stakeholders

- Demonstrated BA experience (5+ years) having previously worked in Senior BA capacity.

- Familiar Risk Management experience in the area of Credit Risk Management

- Experience with relational databases, such as SQL Server, Oracle, SAS and ability to write SQL commands is required

- Experience of data reconciliation and data quality is preferred

- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

- Is adaptable, accountable, solution orientated and possesses excellent analytical & problem solving skills

- Experience within Australian financial institutions is preferred
