About The Role
As a Technical Support Officer, your key responsibilities include:
- Ensure the appropriate allocation of Building &
- Construction materials and resources are provided to support delivery of programs within the specific industry areas.
- Liaise with suppliers to determine the best and most economic products to be purchased.
- Support with ordering of supplies and equipment in a timely manner using Finance One system applications and maintain stock control of such items.
- Organise the repair of equipment to ensure the efficient operation of the full range of departmental equipment and resources and maintaining systems and records that are in compliance with auditing regulations.
- Provide general assistance in the maintenance and setting up for Workshop activities including Display spaces, for all Building &
- Construction programs.
- Provide technical support in the promotion of regular Building &
- Construction activities, events and exhibitions, internal and external to Chisholm.
- Provide support, advice and recommendations to ensure the effective operations of the Building &
- Construction programs, including Fee for Service and short courses.
- Networking with internal and external staff, suppliers and agents in order to maintain the fluency of program delivery.
About You You are a highly motivated individual with well-developed skills and experience in using and servicing appropriate tools &
- Equipment (such as Static Machinery, Hand and power tools).
Essential
Qualifications required for the role
- Relevant Vocational Qualification Building &
- Construction trade
- Current drivers licence
- Current Forklift Licence
Desirable
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110)
- Trade qualification (Wood Machinist within Building &
- Construction)
- Computer Numerical Control Operations &
- Machining (CNC)
- First aid Training
