Position Details

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Guildford Road, St Columba’s School Bayswater is a true hidden gem. We provide a supportive and enriching workplace for just over 500 students from Pre-Kindergarten through Year 6, under the guiding principles of the Sisters of Mercy.

At St Columba’s, we offer a range of specialist classes including Music, Technology, Physical Education, Science, and Italian, ensuring a well-rounded education. We are also proud of our dedicated Outside of School Hours Care program, providing before, after school, and vacation care.

The Promoting Literacy

Development (PLD) Program is embedded across the school and the school has recently become a URSTRONG and Berry Street Education Model inspired school.

We are seeking a Technologies Teacher to join our team of nurturing, professional and fun loving staff.

Selection Criteria

- Must be prepared to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of their duties;
- Deliver an engaging Digital Technologies program for Year 2 -Year 6 students;
- Develop and maintain a Technologies Curriculum that meets the requirements of the Western Australian Curriculum;
- Plan and prepare thoroughly for day-to-day teaching of Technologies lessons;
- Be highly capable in a wide variety of digital technologies and their application in the classroom;
- Be an active member of the team, demonstrating creativity and initiative to develop exciting learning experiences for all students across the school;




- An inclusive teacher who can support students with diverse learning, social and cultural needs through the constant promotion of safety and wellbeing;
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills that create a supportive and safe environment;
- Understands the importance of developing positive relationships with other children, staff and parents and can demonstrate evidence of such actions.

Qualifications Required A relevant 4 year tertiary qualification; Current registration as a teacher with the Teacher Registration Board of WA;

Hold or be working towards Accreditation to Teach Religious Education.
