About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to join a supportive and team-oriented team environment in WA. This role will involve providing high-quality therapy services to children with developmental concerns, delays, and disorders. You will be working within a multi- and transdisciplinary team, engaging with clients and their families, and contributing to ongoing service development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement occupational therapy intervention strategies using a range of service delivery models.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of therapy programs and adapt strategies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients and families to support therapy goals.
- Participate as an active team member in multi-/transdisciplinary activities.
- Select, maintain, and evaluate therapy tools, resources, and programs.
- Contribute to community education and promotion of occupational therapy services.
- Attend team meetings and participate in supervision, mentoring, and performance management.
- Maintain accurate progress notes, client records, and reports.
- Engage in professional development to maintain and upgrade skills.
- Adhere to workplace safety, Equal Opportunity principles, and organisational policies.
Essential Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, with registration (or eligibility) with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
- Knowledge of assessments and interventions for children with developmental concerns, delays, and disorders.
- Strong time and caseload management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience in developmental paediatrics.
- Current driver’s licence.
