Job Description

SGS has an exciting prospect for a full time Laboratory Supervisor, this is a FIFO position with a 2 weeks on 2 weeks off roster.

The Laboratory Supervisor will oversee all aspects of the laboratory, including the following key accountabilities, however not limited to:

- Delegate tasks equitably among sample preparation and laboratory technicians on a daily basis.
- Monitor laboratory productivity to ensure all samples progress efficiently and on schedule.
- Track and report the laboratory's consumable stock levels weekly.
- Notify the manager promptly when consumables need to be reordered.
- Coordinate the return of samples and waste materials to clients, ensuring timely action and adherence to proper procedures.
- Ensure all team members consistently follow Health and Safety procedures in all laboratory areas.
- Support sample sorting, preparation, and reading processes as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records related to sample submission, preparation progress, and archiving.
- Ensure all results are delivered to clients on time and in line with contractual agreements.
