About us

Workshop City is a licensed motor vehicle repair business (MRB11638) operating from Welshpool. We service and repair all makes and models, from Toyota and Ford through to European vehicles, and we also run a mobile service for customers who cannot get to the workshop.

We are looking for a qualified motor mechanic to join the team on a full time, ongoing basis.

What you will be doing

▪Logbook and standard servicing across passenger vehicles, 4WDs and light commercials

▪Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using workshop scan tools and test equipment

▪Brake, clutch, suspension and steering repairs and replacements

▪Cooling system work, head gasket repairs and engine replacements

▪Transmission servicing and repairs

▪Tyre fitting, wheel balancing and wheel alignments

▪Registration and pre-pits inspections

▪Fitting 4WD accessories such as lift kits, bull bars and driving lights

▪Road testing vehicles before and after repair, and confirming the fault is fixed

▪Quoting jobs,



ordering parts and explaining the work to customers in plain language

▪Attending mobile call-outs when required

▪Keeping accurate job cards and service records, and working to workshop safety procedures

What we are after

▪Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, or an equivalent overseas trade qualification

▪At least one years of experience in a workshop setting

▪Confident with diagnostic scan tools and electronic fault finding

▪Able to work across a range of makes and models rather than one brand

▪Current Australian driver's licence

▪Eligible to be a certified tradesperson under the WA Motor Vehicle Repairers Act

▪Unrestricted right to work in Australia
