About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our GP clinic. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the practice runs efficiently, professionally and with a strong focus on patient care. Working closely with the doctors and clinical team, you will oversee practice operations, staff coordination, compliance, financial performance, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be an approachable and organised leader who can build a positive team culture, manage competing priorities and contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the practice.

About the practice:

Our practice has proudly served the Avalon Beach community for over 60 years and is the only general practice located in Avalon Village. We are a private billing, GP-owned clinic with a strong reputation for patient-centred care. The practice is home to a team of seven GPs, supported by two experienced Practice Nurses and a highly capable administrative team.
Located adjacent to the Avalon Bowling Green and just a short stroll to the beach,



our setting offers the best of both worlds — a peaceful, village atmosphere with access to all the amenities of Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

Candidate requirements:

* Previous experience in a management and/or high-level practice administrative position
* Experience in financial management, accounting systems and reporting processes
* Experience in payroll systems and legislated employment conditions
* An understanding of medical terminology, medical and allied health professional organisations and relevant stakeholders
* The ability to demonstrate and encourage leadership and teamwork
* The ability to build customer and stakeholder relationships
* Excellent communication and documentation skills
