The Opportunity

Orange City Council is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our Executive Leadership Team as Director Infrastructure.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will lead a diverse portfolio spanning roads, water and sewer services, waste operations, building services, parks, gardens, sporting precincts, the airport and major capital projects.

This is a rare opportunity to lead the infrastructure, open spaces and essential services that support our growing community while shaping the long-term growth, sustainability and liveability of Orange.

Working closely with the CEO, fellow Directors and Councillors, you will drive significant infrastructure investment, lead a broad and capable workforce, and help deliver outcomes that benefit our community for generations to come.

What We’re Looking for

We're seeking a leader who brings:

- Proven executive leadership experience within a large and complex organisation

- Strategic expertise in infrastructure, asset management and capital project delivery

- Strong stakeholder and political acumen, with the ability to engage confidently with Councillors, government agencies, industry partners, employees and the community

- A demonstrated ability to build capability and lead high-performing teams through change and growth





- A commitment to innovation, continuous improvement and delivering outstanding community outcomes

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and demonstrated executive leadership experience within infrastructure, engineering, asset management or related environments.

Most importantly, you will be a collaborative and authentic leader who values people, embraces accountability and is passionate about making a meaningful contribution to the future of Orange.
