Role Description

This part time Remedial Massage Therapist role is an on-site position based at our Melbourne, VIC clinic. The therapist will provide high-quality remedial and therapeutic massage treatments to a diverse client base, supporting pain relief, injury recovery, and stress management in collaboration with physiotherapists and other allied health professionals. Daily tasks include conducting client assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, delivering hands-on bodywork (such as remedial, deep tissue,



and relaxation techniques), and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. The role also involves educating clients on self-management strategies, contributing to holistic care plans that may include clinical Pilates and exercise-based rehabilitation, and ensuring a welcoming, professional environment. Active participation in team communication, adherence to infection control and safety standards, and commitment to ongoing professional development are expected.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong therapeutic massage skills, including remedial and body massage techniques.
- Candidates should possess skills in Shiatsu and stress management to support relaxation and overall wellbeing.
- Candidates should possess excellent customer service abilities and a client-centered approach to care.
- Relevant qualifications in Remedial Massage Therapy (e.g., Diploma or equivalent) and eligibility for professional association membership and insurance are highly beneficial.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary or allied health settings, knowledge of musculoskeletal conditions, and the ability to collaborate effectively with physiotherapists and Pilates practitioners are advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, reliability, professional ethics, and the ability to work some evenings or weekends as needed will support success in this role.
