Since 1999, our integrated business has brought estimating, design, project management, joinery manufacturing and installation together under one roof, giving our clients a single point of accountability and our project teams greater control over quality, coordination and outcomes.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an experienced Pre-Construction Estimator to take ownership of the commercial and estimating aspects of our Pre-Construction Process. This is a broader role than traditional estimating. You will take projects from initial tender review through estimating, trade engagement, client negotiations and contract finalisation, through to handover into Project Management. Working closely with the Managing Director, Project Managers and our internal teams, you will ensure each project is properly scoped, accurately priced and commercially sound before it moves into delivery.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

· Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation to establish project scope.

· Preparing detailed estimates, scopes of work and tender submissions.

· Managing subcontractor and supplier RFQs, pricing and negotiations.

· Identifying scope gaps, exclusions, assumptions, risks and commercial issues.

· Coordinating tender queries,



client clarifications and post-tender negotiations.

· Preparing and reviewing client contracts, subcontractor agreements and contractor engagement documentation.

· Establishing project budgets and managing the commercial position through pre-construction.

· Reviewing construction documentation against the tender to identify scope changes and gaps.

· Working with Project Managers on commercial changes and variations arising during the pre-construction and handover stages.

· Ensuring project information is complete, accurate and commercially aligned before formal handover to Project Management.

· Maintaining accurate tender and commercial information within FSCI's systems and processes.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for an experienced construction estimator with a strong background in commercial fit-out, shopfitting, retail, hospitality or workplace projects. You will be confident managing tenders from initial review through to pricing, trade engagement, client clarification, negotiation and contract finalisation. You will bring:

- 3+ years' construction estimating experience, ideally in commercial fit-out or shopfitting.

- Strong ability to interpret drawings, specifications and tender documentation.

- Proven experience preparing and managing tenders through to submission.

- Ability to identify scope gaps, exclusions, assumptions and commercial risks.





- Experience obtaining, assessing and negotiating subcontractor and supplier pricing.

- Sound understanding of construction scopes and contract documentation.

- Strong commercial judgement, attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Strong organisation and the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.

- A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership and work within established processes and systems.

Experience with Monday.com, Tradify, EstimateOne and Groundplan will be highly regarded.
