Are you a compassionate Personal Care Worker looking for flexible casual work where you can make a genuine difference in the lives of older Australians?

We are currently expanding our casual pool at Bribie Island Aged Care and have opportunities available for Personal Care Workers who can commence as soon as possible.

Working as part of our dedicated residential aged care team, you will provide individualised, person-centred care that supports each resident’s dignity, independence, comfort and wellbeing.

What you can bring to the role

- Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or a related qualification;
- Experience providing personal care in a residential aged care environment;
- A compassionate and respectful approach to supporting older people;
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively;
- Reliability and flexibility across a variety of shifts;
- The ability to complete accurate care documentation;
- A current National Police Certificate, or the ability to obtain one; and
- Evidence of current influenza vaccination in accordance with aged care requirements.

Your responsibilities will include





- Supporting residents with personal care, mobility and daily living activities;
- Promoting residents’ dignity, independence, choice and quality of life;
- Following individual care plans and reporting changes in a resident’s condition;
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation;
- Supporting residents to participate in meaningful activities and routines;
- Following infection prevention, manual handling and workplace safety requirements; and
- Working closely with nurses and other members of the care team.
