About the Role

We're seeking an Accountant to join our Business Services team in Brisbane. Working alongside experienced senior leaders and Partners, you'll gain exposure to a diverse client portfolio while continuing to develop your technical accounting, taxation and advisory skills.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, takes pride in delivering high-quality work and is looking to grow their career within a collaborative and supportive team. You'll be supported to continue your professional development while gaining increasing responsibility and exposure to a broad range of clients and industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for a broad range of clients
- Prepare BAS, IAS, and management reports using cloud-based accounting systems (Xero & QuickBooks)
- Support senior team members on client engagements and advisory work
- Assist clients with general accounting and tax compliance queries
- Contribute to tax planning and business advisory engagements
- Maintain accurate and well-organised working papers
- Provide support to the wider team and assist with ad hoc tasks as required
About You
- Degree-qualified in accounting (or near completion)
- 1-3 years' experience in public practice
- Started CA or CPA,
or currently working towards completion
- Foundational understanding of Australian tax compliance and accounting principles
- Experience with cloud accounting software (Xero preferred)
- Strong attention to detail with solid organisational skills
- A quick learner with the ability to pick up new systems and concepts rapidly
- Intermediate technical skills with a desire to continue developing
- Solid communication skills and a willingness to engage with clients
- Positive, proactive attitude with a genuine interest in growing your career
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
