As a blender, your primary responsibility will be mixing, blending, and formulating high-quality paint products. You'll follow precise recipes and formulas to ensure accuracy, consistency, and excellence in every batch. The role also involves supporting various operations across the site, working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Key responsibilities
- Accurately weigh, measure, and blend chemicals and raw materials to produce paint products, following detailed recipes and specifications.
- Ensure thorough and accurate completion of all batch documentation.
- Operate forklifts and move materials throughout the production area safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including assisting with general production area upkeep and equipment maintenance.
- Assist with line setups, cleaning, and other ad-hoc production tasks as required.
About you
- Minimum of 3 years of recent, hands-on experience in a batch manufacturing or chemical blending role, preferably in the paint or coatings industry.
- Current and valid forklift licence is required or be willing to obtain.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail to ensure precise mixing and formulation.
- Ability to lift and move materials (up to 25 kg) and work in a physically demanding setting.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and also collaborate effectively within a team.
- Strong work ethic with a focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining consistent quality.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English, with good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to provide checkable work references.
