Cable Smith Electrical Services is expanding its sales team. Based in Kenwick, we’re looking for an ambitious Solar & Battery Sales Consultant to help customers find the right energy solutions for their homes.

This is an ABN-based contractor opportunity with a retainer and commission, giving you a regular retainer alongside rewards for your sales performance.

The opportunity

You’ll guide customers through their solar and battery options, understand what they want to achieve and present solutions suited to their property, energy use and budget.

We’re looking for someone who can build trust, follow up consistently and confidently turn enquiries into sales. You’ll work closely with our electrical team and play a direct role in growing the business.

What you’ll be doing

- Speaking with prospective customers about solar and battery solutions.





- Understanding their energy usage, property requirements and budget.

- Explaining suitable options clearly and accurately.

- Preparing and presenting tailored quotes and proposals.

- Following up enquiries, answering questions and closing sales.

- Managing your pipeline and keeping customer records up to date.

- Coordinating with our electrical team for a smooth handover.

- Achieving agreed sales targets while delivering a great customer experience.

Who we’re looking for

You’re approachable, organised and driven. You enjoy the sales process, take initiative and understand that lasting results come from honest advice and consistent follow-through.

You’ll bring:

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

- Confidence presenting proposals and asking for the sale.

- A proactive approach to finding and progressing opportunities.

- Good organisation and reliable follow-up.

- A willingness to build your solar and battery product knowledge.

- Pride in representing a local business professionally.

- Your own ABN and the ability to work under a contractor arrangement.

Solar or battery sales experience would be highly regarded. If you have a strong sales background in another industry, we’d also love to hear from you.
