About the role
Kick-start your career in Information Technology through a 24-month traineeship opportunity. Designed for recent school leavers, career starters or individuals with a genuine passion for technology, this role provides hands-on learning, practical workplace experience and industry mentoring to help you build a strong foundation in IT. As an ICT Support Trainee, you will provide IT support and complete a variety of technology-related tasks across multiple organisational administration and service delivery sites.

Duties include:

- Triage ICT support requests via phone, email and in person and action or delegate to appropriate ICT resources for further action and follow up
- Use initiative to provide help-desk support in solving user-related problems related to user workstations, including remote desktop support
- Install and maintain hardware and upgrade software on user workstations and servers as required
- Develop and maintain a general understanding of all software application operations to assist development and provide user training
- In conjunction with the Executive Manager and other ICT team members, actively participate in the development and deployment of ICT projects

About you:




No prior skilled IT experience is required. Instead, we're looking for enthusiastic and motivated person who is eager to learn and build a long-term career in the technology sector. Upon successful completion of the traineeship, you will receive a nationally recognised qualification, equipping you with the skills, experience, and credentials to launch your career in Information Technology. This opportunity is best suited to those at the beginning of their IT journey, rather than candidates with extensive IT experience or advanced qualifications.

Role Requirements:

- Have basic understanding of computers and the Microsoft Windows and Microsoft suite of applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a friendly, approachable and customer service focused attitude
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment
- National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)
- Current working with children clearance WWCC (or willing to obtain prior to commencing)
- Able to commit to 24-month traineeship and traineeship conditions
- Current and valid driver's licence
