Our client is a boutique legal technology consultancy in a significant growth phase, helping organisations across Australia & New Zealand automate the work that slows them down. Their main clients include law firms, government & not-for-profit organisations, setting up & tailoring practice management platforms so their systems fit how they actually work.
This is a newly created role, as one of the Directors steps back from day-to-day delivery to focus on operations. You will own projects once they are won, be the primary client contact & keep the team on track, with a Project Officer providing project & administrative support.
The team is small, remote & moves quickly. They are looking for someone mature & capable who can take the reins, build strong relationships with clients & keep multiple projects moving.
The Role
- Take ownership of projects once they have been won & lead delivery end-to-end
- Act as the primary client contact throughout delivery, managing relationships & resolving issues as they arise
- Work closely with key stakeholders across law firms, government & not-for-profit organisations
- Allocate work across the Project Officer & wider delivery team
- Monitor progress, deadlines & deliverables, keeping people accountable for what has been assigned
- Oversee the financial performance of individual projects, rather than company-level finances
- Work across the project management platform, Teams & a growing set of automated internal processes
- Complete fully paid training, including an 8-hour course on the client's core software, so you can confidently advise clients on its capability - no technical configuration required
The Benefits
- $50 per hour + Super, with room for future growth
- Casual role, approximately 15-20 hours per week, with scope to increase your hours & remit as new contracts are secured
- Flexible hours you manage yourself once you are established & across the projects
- Predominantly remote, attending the Crows Nest office approximately 1-2 times per month for leadership meetings
- Reporting directly to the Director & sitting in leadership discussions from the start
- No sales component or company-level financial management
- A small & innovative business where most things are negotiable for the right person
What sets this organisation apart?
This is a consultancy in genuine growth mode, with recent contracts close to signing & the workload to match. The person joining now will have the opportunity to grow alongside the business, or maintain a flexible 15-20 hour week if that suits them better.
The role sits at the centre of the business & you'll have ownership over how projects are delivered as the team scales. With automated internal processes taking care of much of the administration, your time can be focused on clients, projects & keeping delivery moving.
The Ideal Candidate
- 3+ years' experience in project management, coordination or similar, ideally within a technology or professional services environment
- Experience using project management software is essential; the client's specific platform can be learned
- Comfortable across multiple technology platforms & using AI tools to work efficiently
- Mature & confident engaging with a range of stakeholders
- Warm & collaborative, yet able to hold people accountable
- Organised & detail-focused, with a strong sense of urgency
- Comfortable in a small, fast-moving business & willing to take ownership of unfamiliar tasks
- Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant certifications are valuable, but not essential
- Sydney-based, able to attend Crows Nest as required, with full Australian working rights
