Our Business Units
BWE Drilling - Drill & Blast
Our Drill & Blast division delivers full production drilling and specialised blasting services across mining and civil projects. Services are designed to achieve high productivity while minimising impact on surrounding environments and active operations.
BWE Drilling - Exploration
Our Exploration division is an established drilling contractor supporting exploration and mining programs with Air Core, Reverse Circulation and Diamond Drilling services. The team works across diverse greenfield and brownfield projects in Australia.
BWE Drilling - Waterwell
Our Waterwell division specialises in water bore drilling and well services, operating across local government and Tier 1 mining clients in Australia. Projects range from mine‑site water supply to deep artesian bore drilling.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Achievement of daily drill productivity targets
- Interpretation of site plans and blasting specifications
- Assist in the upkeep of drill rigs
- Supporting other drill and blast site activities as required
- Plan, prepare and execute blasting activities in line with site requirements and strict safety standards
- Safely handle, transport, store and charge explosives and initiating systems
- Set out blast patterns, load blast holes and establish secure firing connections
- Conduct pre- and post-blast inspections to ensure safe, efficient and compliant operations
- Maintain accurate records including explosive usage, blast reports and performance data
- Work closely with site teams to deliver safe, compliant and productive blasting outcomes
What You Bring:
- Blast Hole Drilling experience operating a T45
- Full drivers licence (HR desirable)
- A proactive, safety-first mindset
- Clean National Police Clearance
- Current WA Shotfirer's Licence
- Current Driver's Licence (HR licence highly regarded)
- Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC)
- Strong knowledge of blasting operations, safety standards and compliance requirements
