Mitchelton Pre-Schooling Centre (MPC) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. Commencing in Term 1, 2027 in our Unit 2-3 day group Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (45 hours per fortnight). This is a 12 month contract role for the 2027 school year with the possibility of extension.

The Role

- Early Childhood Teacher - Part Time

- Commencing 18 January 2027 until 10 December 2027

- 45 Hours per fortnight, working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

- Employment and remuneration for this position is covered by the Mitchelton Pre-Schooling Centre Inc Early Childhood Education Centre Enterprise Agreement 2024

Requirements

- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent with ACECQA approval

- Current Queensland Teachers Registration

- Minimum 3 years experience in the role of ECT

- Must hold a current blue card or exemption card

- Must hold first aid/CPR including asthma and anaphylaxis

- Completed or willing to complete all mandatory Child Safety Training

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development

- Attendance at staff and committee meetings

- In collaboration with the Educational Leader, delivering a high quality, inclusive early childhood educational program based on the Early Years Framework and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines.

- An understanding of ‘Play’ and in its importance to children’s learning.

- Demonstrate open and effective communication with children, parents, management committee and colleagues.

- A growth mind-set and commitment to professional development and team collaboration.

- Commitment to sustainability, diversity and inclusion.

- Experience teachers and educators collaborate with children to deliver an outstanding program with an emphasis on our natural environment.
