We are currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses – Scrub/Scout to join our dynamic Theatre team.
Working across a diverse range of surgical specialities, you will play an integral role in delivering protected, high-quality and individualised perioperative care. You will work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists and the broader multidisciplinary team to ensure every patient receives exceptional care throughout their surgical journey.

Registered Nurses – Scrub/Scout
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality scrub and scout nursing care across a range of surgical procedures, working collaboratively with the surgical team to support safe and efficient theatre operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide high-quality scrub and scout nursing care across a range of surgical procedures.
- Prepare, check and manage surgical instruments, equipment and consumables.
- Maintain a secure and sterile environment in accordance with infection prevention and control standards.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and contribute to the efficient flow of theatre lists.
- Complete surgical counts and ensure all instruments and equipment are appropriately accounted for.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital policies and procedures.
- Advocate for patient safety and provide individualised, person-centred care.
- Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists and the multidisciplinary team.




- Contribute to education, quality improvement and ongoing team development.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated experience and competence in scrub and scout nursing.
- Experience across a range of surgical specialities will be highly regarded.
- Strong knowledge of perioperative practices, infection control and patient safety.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A methodical approach and high level of attention to detail.
- The ability to remain calm, organised and responsive in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- A strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and customer service.

Enrolled Nurses – Scrub/Scout
We are also seeking experienced Enrolled Nurses – Scrub/Scout to join our Theatre team.
This role is ideally suited to Enrolled Nurses with previous acute hospital experience who are passionate about surgical nursing and keen to develop or utilise their perioperative skills within a supportive and collaborative theatre environment.
You will work alongside Registered Nurses, surgeons, anaesthetists and the broader multidisciplinary team, providing safe and high-quality care within your scope of practice and level of competency.

- Provide safe, high-quality scrub and scout support within your scope of practice and level of competency.
- Assist with the preparation, checking and management of surgical instruments, equipment and consumables.
- Support the surgical team to maintain a safe,



efficient and sterile theatre environment.
- Assist with surgical counts and other theatre safety processes.
- Maintain infection prevention and control standards.
- Recognise and escalate patient safety or clinical concerns to the Registered Nurse.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, surgeons, anaesthetists and the multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in education, competency development and quality improvement activities.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA.
- Previous experience in an acute hospital environment.
- Scrub/scout experience or a demonstrated interest in developing perioperative skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a fast-paced surgical team.
- A commitment to safe, compassionate and patient-centred care.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A willingness to develop and maintain theatre competencies.
