About the Role

Due to solid growth and a pipeline of Defence projects, Aurizn is looking for suitably cleared and experienced DevSecOps Engineers to support the design, development, integration and operation of secure Defence systems and platforms.

Our work spans secure software delivery, cloud and on-premise infrastructure, Defence networks, Zero Trust and data-centric security, platform engineering and system accreditation. Depending on your experience, you may work across activities including:

- Designing, building and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines across development, test and operational environments.

- Developing and managing cloud and on-premise infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC).

- Deploying and managing containerised applications using Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift and related technologies.

- Supporting the design and implementation of secure Defence platforms, networks and application environments.

- Implementing Secure-by-Design, Zero Trust and data-centric security principles, including identity, access control, policy enforcement and secure data flows.

- Integrating applications, platforms and services within complex Defence environments, including multi-domain and cross-domain architectures.

- Embedding automated security testing, vulnerability management, logging, monitoring and assurance into development and deployment workflows.

- Supporting system accreditation, continuous assurance and the production of technical evidence within Defence environments.

- Designing solutions capable of operating within constrained, disconnected or degraded environments where required.

- Working directly with Defence clients, software engineers, cyber specialists, systems engineers and researchers to deliver secure and scalable operational capabilities.

- Providing ongoing enhancement, maintenance and support to existing systems and platforms.

What We Are Looking For

- Must hold, or be eligible to obtain,

a minimum NV1 security clearance. NV2 clearance is highly desirable.

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

- Experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, platform engineering or related roles supporting complex systems.

- Strong experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and working with cloud and/or on-premise infrastructure.

- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift.

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code technologies and practices.

- Strong understanding of Secure-by-Design and modern DevSecOps security practices.

- Experience with identity and access management, secrets management, security monitoring or policy automation is highly regarded.

- Experience working with APIs, messaging technologies, distributed systems or complex system integration is desirable.

- Defence or high-assurance experience is highly regarded, particularly exposure to ISM, system accreditation, Zero Trust, data-centric security, secure architectures or cross-domain systems.

As eligibility for an NV1 security clearance is mandatory for this role, Australian citizenship is required.

Due to ITAR restrictions, we can unfortunately only consider personnel who are not citizens of ITAR proscribed countries.

We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Please reach out to *******@aurizn.co if you have any particular needs that we can support you with throughout this process.
