The successful applicant will be responsible for fabricating, assembling and finishing aluminium and metal products to meet customer specifications and company quality standards. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with precision and takes pride in producing high-quality fabricated products.
Key responsibilities
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, specifications and work orders.
- Measure, mark out and prepare aluminium and metal materials for fabrication.
- Cut aluminium extrusions, sheet metal and associated components using fabrication equipment and power tools.
- Fabricate and assemble balustrades, handrails, pool fencing, gates, privacy screens and other architectural metal products.
- Drill, grind and finish fabricated components to required specifications.
- Install and secure fittings, brackets, fasteners and associated hardware.
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
- Prepare completed products for dispatch and installation.
- Maintain fabrication machinery, tools and equipment.
- Follow workplace health and safety requirements at all times.
About you
- Previous experience as a Metal Fabricator, Aluminium Fabricator or similar trade occupation.
- Experience working with aluminium fabrication systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience using fabrication machinery, hand tools and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and self-motivated approach to work.
- Current Australian driver's licence preferred.
