About Janison

Janison exists to transform the way people learn. Founded 25 years ago, we're an Australian-owned edtech pioneer delivering more than 6.5 million assessments annually in 117 countries, with a deep commitment to equity and accessibility. Our team of educators, technologists and change agents empowers teachers, students, accreditation bodies and governments to measure knowledge and progress, and achieve meaningful educational outcomes.

About the role

As our Implementation Manager, you'll lead complex implementations of Janison's Assessment, Learning, Remote Proctoring and AI-enabled assessment solutions for new and existing enterprise and government customers across APAC, the UK and Europe. That includes our newly won SNSA, the Scottish National Standardised Assessments programme, where we're the technology partner for NFER. You'll own outcomes end to end, from contract handover through go-live and transition to Support and Technical Account Management.

This is a growth role with the scope to build out the function. It combines hands-on solution design, configuration and consultative customer engagement with establishing standardised processes and delivery playbooks, contributing implementation expertise to bids and tenders, and using AI to lift consistency, efficiency and scale.

You'd lead one experienced Implementation Specialist, in a team where Implementation and Technical Account Management sit together as one. We're the glue that holds the rest of it together: when a problem is hard, we pull it apart between us, whether that's a migration that won't reconcile or an escalation two weeks out from a peak event.

Based in Sydney (hybrid), the role includes regular early-evening meetings to overlap with UK/EU business hours during international implementations.

What you'll do

- Own end-to-end delivery of complex, national-scale implementations across APAC and the UK/EU,

from sales handover to go-live and transition to Support and Technical Account Management, with weekly reporting to senior leadership.
- Hold the commercial line: enforce change control so out-of-scope requests are evaluated and approved, and flag risks early with a mitigation plan.
- Be the point of contact for client project teams, leading steering committees, handling difficult conversations and de-escalating early.
- Coach and develop your team, building capability ahead of demand and managing performance early and directly.
- Plan capacity through ambiguity: run concurrent implementations and close skill gaps and single points of failure.
- Escalate risks and hard decisions early, mobilising Product, Engineering, QA, Operations and Support when needed.
- Lead discovery workshops and turn client objectives into a clear configuration roadmap, surfacing product gaps early.
- Shape tenders and bids with feasibility assessments, solution input and reliable effort estimates.
- Stay hands-on with the most complex configuration, testing and troubleshooting: delivery workflows, permissions, authoring, marking, SSO and API data feeds.
- Mature the function: build playbooks, SLAs and quality gates, run retrospectives, and use AI to standardise documentation, automate repetitive work and scale.

About you

- Proven in a technical, customer-facing role (Implementation Manager/Consultant, Qualified Services, or Technical Account Management) in SaaS or enterprise software.
- A track record leading complex,

high-stakes implementations for enterprise or government clients.
- Experience leading and developing a delivery team: coaching, performance management and capability building.
- Contributed to tenders, bids or pre-sales scoping with solution input and effort estimation.
- Composed under pressure with demanding or escalated customers and internal stakeholders, steering them toward standard, scalable solutions.
- A consultative approach that stays a step or two ahead, and masters new products, domains and processes quickly.
- Strong across web/cloud technologies: SaaS architectures, SSO/identity management, APIs and data integrations.
- Bonus points: AI or automation experience, knowledge of Janison's products, basic front-end familiarity (HTML, CSS, JSON), or certifications (PRINCE2, PMP, Azure, ITIL) or a related degree.
