About Us

GWF is one of the largest food manufacturers in Australia and New Zealand, employing around 6,000 people across 40 sites. GWF’s product range is diverse and includes leading brands of breads, baked goods, smallgoods, flour, milled products, and animal feed. GWF’s business units include Tip Top, DON, Yumi’s, MAURI, and Jasol.

DON’s heritage goes back to the late 1800s. Since the beginning, we have been passionate about crafting great-tasting meat products that Australians love. We produce ham, bacon, salami, smallgoods, and fresh pork.
We take great pride in our skills, techniques, and brands, which have evolved over more than a century. We’ve grown from a small family business to become one of Australia’s largest food manufacturers, now part of the GWF group.

DON is also a leading Australian employer with offices and facilities in metropolitan and regional locations across the country. We take pride in being a responsible employer and a great place to work. We offer a safe and supportive environment where everyone can achieve their full potential.

About the Role:

Based at our Castlemaine manufacturing site, the Site Supply & Integration Planner coordinates production, external manufacturing, material movements and short-term workforce requirements across the site. You will create, maintain and communicate practical plans that align production demand, work in progress, supplier schedules, system data and stakeholder priorities.

This is a broad, hands-on planning role with exposure across multiple planning horizons. Working closely with Operations, Technical, Finance, People & Performance and the wider Supply Chain Planning team, you will identify risks early, translate complex information into clear actions and help strengthen reliable, repeatable planning processes across the site.

Responsibilities:

- Develop short and long-term production plans that balance demand, material availability and manufacturing capacity.
- Coordinate third-party manufacturing schedules, work in progress, material movements, system updates and supplier communication.
- Support short-term workforce planning by communicating labour requirements, tracking recruitment allocations and aligning site priorities.
- Prepare planning reports, data extracts and commentary for supply planning and broader integrated business planning processes.
- Maintain accurate production and supply planning data in SAP ECC and SAP APO.
- Monitor service, inventory, cost and production risks,

escalating significant issues through the appropriate channels.
- Maintain and improve Excel-based planning tools to increase visibility, consistency and continuity across the planning function.
- Participate in daily planning routines and weekly allocation meetings, following through on actions and supporting cross-functional alignment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and protected, environmentally responsible work practices across the Castlemaine site.
