Kalamunda Christian School (KCS), nestled in the beautiful suburb of Walliston, has been shaping young lives for over 40 years. As a school of the Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA), KCS offers a nurturing, gospel-inspired learning environment where students are empowered to discover their God-given gifts and grow in wisdom, character, and purpose.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Receptionist to join our team in a permanent position, commencing 12 October, or as negotiated. This role will be 45 weeks a year with 3 half-days per week, working ~0.3 FTE, with 7 weeks of paid leave.

The successful candidate will be the welcoming face of the School, fostering a caring and supportive Christian community. You will provide compassionate support and exceptional service to all who walk through our doors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Be the welcoming face of the College, delivering exceptional service and support to students, families, staff and visitors.
- Manage reception operations, enquiries, attendance records and administrative processes with accuracy, professionalism and confidentiality.
- Provide administrative support and assist with first aid, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the school.
- Thrive in a collaborative team environment, using initiative, organisation and strong communication skills to deliver quality support and meet deadlines.
- Communicate with professionalism, discretion and confidence, delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
- Bring a positive,



professional and detail-oriented approach, balancing priorities with accuracy and reliability.

Essential Selection Criteria:

- Demonstrates a personal commitment to Jesus Christ, regular church attendance, and alignment with SCEA’s Statement of Faith and Christian lifestyle values.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, staff and other professionals.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software systems quickly.
- Ability to act with discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times.
- Current Working with Children Check and Department of Education Criminal History Clearance (or willingness to obtain).

Desirable Selection Criteria:

- Previous experience in a receptionist, administration, or customer service role.
- Experience working within a school or education setting.
- Knowledge of student management systems is advantageous.
