We're looking for one reliable person to join the front desk at Active Physiotherapy Mackay.

You'll be the first smile our patients see and the calm voice on the phone. We're a team of physiotherapists and admin staff who genuinely like working together. Our administration team are the reason the place runs, and we're careful about who we add to it.

About the role

You'll manage bookings, greet patients, take payments and process claims, handle phone and email enquiries, and support our clinicians through the day. We use PracSuite. You don't need to know it, but you do need to be someone who can learn a recent system.

The hours

We're open Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 6:30pm. No weekends.

You'd have one set day each week, agreed with you when you start. Most weeks there'd be a second day, and when someone is sick or on leave we may ask for a third. Sometimes that call comes with only a few hours' notice.

You'd also need to be able to cover both ends of the day. Some shifts start at 7:30am, others run through to 6:30pm. Not every shift will be one or the other, but you should be able to do either when it's needed.

Beyond your set day, we can't promise which days you'll work. What we're after is someone with genuine room in their week, who's happy to be the person we call.

What we're looking for

- Experience in reception or customer service. Healthcare is a bonus, not a requirement

- Someone genuinely reliable. You turn up, on time,



when you said you would

- Availability across our full opening hours, including early starts and late finishes

- Confidence with technology and a willingness to learn new systems properly

- Someone who's worked well inside a small team. Ours is close-knit and supportive, and we protect that

- Initiative. You notice the thing that needs doing and do it, rather than waiting to be asked

- Living close enough to Mackay to come in at short notice

What we offer

- $28 to $31 per hour part-time, plus super and pro-rata leave

- Prefer to be casual? $35 to $38 per hour including your casual loading. Tell us in your application and we'll work it out with you

- Monday to Friday only. No weekends, no late nights
