Apprenticeships Are Us is seeking enthusiastic 1st Year Panel Beating and Spray Painting Apprentices to join an established collision repair workshop in Leichhardt, NSW.

This is your opportunity to start a career in the automotive collision repair industry, learning practical skills alongside experienced tradespeople in a professional workshop environment.

No experience? No problem. Previous automotive experience isn't required. If you have the right attitude, a strong work ethic and a genuine interest in the industry, we'll provide the support you need to build your skills from the ground up.

Apprenticeships Available

1st Year Panel Beating Apprenticeship

Complete your AUR32120 Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology while learning how to repair and restore damaged vehicles.

1st Year Spray Painting Apprenticeship

Complete your AUR32420 Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology while developing professional vehicle preparation and refinishing skills.

What You'll Be Doing

Depending on your chosen trade, you'll gain hands-on experience across a range of tasks.

Panel Beating

Working alongside qualified panel beaters, you'll learn to:

- Assess vehicle body damage and repair requirements.

- Remove, repair and replace damaged vehicle panels.

- Straighten and realign vehicle body components.

- Use specialist panel beating tools and equipment.

- Assist with minor and major collision repairs.

- Prepare repaired panels for refinishing.

- Follow manufacturer specifications and workplace safety procedures.

Spray Painting

Working alongside qualified automotive refinishing technicians, you'll learn to:

- Prepare vehicle surfaces for refinishing.

- Sand, mask and prime vehicle panels.





- Mix and match automotive paint colours.

- Apply base coats, clear coats and refinishing products.

- Use professional spray-painting equipment and spray booths.

- Inspect finished surfaces and complete final detailing.

- Follow safe procedures when handling paints and chemicals.

About You

We're looking for motivated individuals who are ready to learn a trade and build a long-term career in the automotive industry.

To be successful, you'll ideally have:

- A genuine interest in panel beating, spray painting or automotive collision repair.

- A hands-on approach and willingness to learn.

- A strong work ethic and reliable attitude.

- Good attention to detail and pride in your work.

- The ability to take direction and apply feedback.

- The ability to work well as part of a fast-paced workshop team.

- A current driver's licence (P1 or above preferred).

- The ability to reliably travel to Leichhardt, NSW.

No previous experience or Certificate II is required. We're looking for candidates who are reliable, motivated and genuinely interested in developing a career in the automotive industry.

Applicants must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents to be eligible for these apprenticeships.
