About the Opportunity

We’re seeking a Thrive Case Officer on a FIFO or Residential basis to support tenants across the Ngaanyatjarra Lands to maintain safe, healthy homes and strengthen positive tenancy practices.

In this hands-on role you’ll deliver case management, tenancy support and tailored programs working closely with Housing, Environmental Health and community stakeholders to drive practical outcomes and improve wellbeing on the ground.

This role operates on an 8:2 (weeks) FIFO roster, with accommodation and flights provided.

About You

You’re a practical, community-focused professional who can build trust and get things done. You bring:

- Strong communication skills and the ability to build respectful relationships with tenants, Elders and community members

- Experience in community services, tenancy support, environmental health or health promotion is preffered

- Confidence working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Solid time management skills with the ability to meet reporting requirements and manage competing priorities

- A practical, solutions-focused approach to supporting tenants and improving living conditions

- Ability to support people with documentation, service access and maintaining property standards

- Sound understanding of household environmental health risks

- Competency in Microsoft Office and digital record systems (experience with THRIMS highly regarded)

- A genuine commitment to working in remote Aboriginal communities in a culturally safe and respectful way

- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel, including on unsealed roads

Welcome to Ngaanyatjarra Lands, a vibrant tapestry of culture and community nestled within the vast beauty of the Australian desert. Home to approximately 1800 Yarnangu (Ngaanyatjarra people) across 11 unique communities, our council is dedicated to preserving and celebrating our rich heritage spanning over 10,000 years and 250,000 square kilometres. Established in 1981, the Ngaanyatjarra Council Group (NCG) represents the interests of the Ngaanyatjarra People across the 11 communities in the Central Desert region of Western Australia. Employing in excess of 450 people, NCG provides a wide range of services, including health, utilities, construction, employment, community development, shops, roadhouses, art centres and land services. It is one of the largest and most successful Indigenous organisations in the country.
