We are seeking a passionate and experienced Kindergarten Teacher to join our dynamic team at Buddies ELC' in Glen Huntly, Victoria. As a Kindergarten Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment that supports the holistic development of our young learners. This is a full-time position located at our Glen Huntly centre.
What you'll be doing
- Designing and implementing a play-based curriculum that aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework
- Fostering a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning workplace that caters to the diverse needs of children
- Observing, documenting and assessing children's progress, and using this information to inform future planning
- Collaborating with families to build strong partnerships and support the learning and development of each child
- Participating in professional development opportunities to continuously improve your practice
- Maintaining high standards of care, safety and wellbeing for all children
What we're looking for
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Kindergarten Teacher, preferably in a long day care or sessional kindergarten setting
- Excellent understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and its implementation
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging, play-based learning experiences
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Enthusiasm for continuous professional development and a commitment to staying up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education
- Current Working with Children Check and First Aid Certificate
