About Step 2 Allied Health:
Step 2 Allied Health provide quality Allied Health, and disability support services to clients across regional Victoria and beyond. The team consists of Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Behaviour Support Practitioners, Counsellors, Plan Managers, Therapy Assistants and Support Workers. We engage with a variety of funding bodies and sources such as Flexible Support Packages, Support at Home, NDIS, Medicare, TAC and private paying clients. About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic speech pathologist to join our growing team with the opportunity to build and shape their caseload with the support of their clinical supervisor. We offer a supportive environment, focused on neurodiverse affirming practice and collaboration across a multidisciplinary team.
You will have the chance to support participants across a range of communication needs at the clinic, in participant homes, schools, or in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, and intervention of a range of communication disorders
- Support clients to achieve their goals through a person and family centred approach
- Facilitate a neurodiverse-affirming approach through participant, parent, teacher, and carer education to support inclusion and participation
- Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration to provide a holistic approach to participant care
- High-quality report writing to meet funding requirements, recommend funding, and support the participant to achieve their goals and access the supports they need.
- Maintain up to date clinical documentation in line with SPA and NDIS standards (where applicable)
- Development, implementation and regular review of Therapy Assistant programs
- Manage your own caseload to meet new graduate KPIs with the support of our administrative team
- Supporting regional participants across the greater Geelong region

Requirements:
- Bachelor of Speech Pathology (or equivalent)
- Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) membership
- Working with Children's Check
- Current Driver's Licence
- National Police Check
