Specialised Management Group (SMG) is seeking an experienced IFM Contract Manager to lead facilities management at a cutting-edge pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.

With mobilisation complete and capable hard and soft services teams already in place, you’ll have a strong foundation to build on. Your focus will be maintaining client confidence, bringing out the best in the team and sustaining strong service performance.

About the role

- Lead hard and soft services teams and specialist delivery partners.

- Maintain solid client relationships through responsive communication and reliable delivery.

- Manage contract performance, budgets and reporting.

- Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, safety and compliance.

- Learn the site quickly and take ownership from the outset.

About you

- Strong experience managing IFM contracts or comparable complex facilities operations.

- A technical or hard services background is preferred.

- Strong leadership,



commercial judgement and client relationship skills.

- Pharmaceutical manufacturing or GMP experience is highly desirable.

- Soft services experience is welcome but not essential.

We also welcome experienced technical facilities managers ready to step into broader contract leadership.

The arrangement

- Initial 3–6 month contract with SMG, with potential to extend or transition into permanent full-time employment with our client, the site’s IFM service provider, subject to performance and business requirements.

- Full-time, based onsite in Clayton. Applicants must be Melbourne-based and have full, unrestricted Australian working rights.

- Annualised base salary of $200,000–$220,000 plus super, depending on experience, paid pro rata for the engagement period.

- Indicative salaried equivalent of approximately $101–$111 per hour plus super, based on a 38-hour week, with paid leave entitlements.

- Immediate start available.

- A contractor arrangement may be considered, with rates negotiated separately.
