You will be responsible for:
- Fitting, removing, repairing and replacing tyres on heavy vehicles, trailers and fleet equipment in accordance with safety and manufacturer requirements.
- Conducting regular tyre inspections, including checking tread depth, tyre pressure, wear patterns, damage and overall roadworthiness.
- Performing tyre rotations, balancing, wheel changes and repairs as required to maximise tyre performance and service life.
- Identifying and reporting tyre defects, mechanical issues or safety concerns to the Workshop or Fleet Manager.
- Maintaining accurate records of tyre inspections, replacements, repairs and associated workshop maintenance activities.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop workplace.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience as a Tyre Fitter, preferably within a transport, logistics, heavy-vehicle or fleet workshop environment.
- Experience working with heavy vehicle and trailer tyres, including fitting, removal, repairs and inspections.
- The ability to identify tyre wear, damage and potential safety issues and take appropriate action.
- A strong understanding of workshop safety, tyre safety and safe manual handling practices.
- A strong work ethic with the ability to work both independently and as part of a busy workshop team.
- Current HR driver's licence is desirable.
- Current forklift licence is desirable.
