Rent‑a‑Bomb, a leading provider of affordable vehicle rental services in Southbank, operates a large fleet as part of a national franchise network and head office team. We’re looking for a reliable, organised Automotive Assistant – Rental Desk & Vehicle Detailing to support both front‑office operations and hands‑on vehicle preparation. This is a practical, wide-ranging role involving customer service, bookings, admin, vehicle presentation and general branch workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Rental desk: customer enquiries, bookings, pick‑ups and returns
- Vehicle detailing and rental preparation — washing, vacuuming, checking presentation, topping up fluids and ensuring vehicles are ready to go out
- Coordinate vehicle movements with our mechanic and detailer
- Resolve customer issues calmly and professionally
- Maintain a thorough understanding of our rental fleet, rates and assist customers with vehicle selection
What You Need
- Good organisational ability and attention to detail
- Mechanical awareness (checking fluids, tyre pressures, general vehicle condition)
- Comfortable using computers for bookings, admin and customer service skills
- be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle
- Valid Australian driver's licence is required
- Australian permanent residency or citizenship is required
