Specialized Cleaning Group is looking for an experienced, hands-on Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Padstow and keep our fleet of road sweepers, trucks and associated equipment running at its best.
Worked on road sweepers, tipper trucks or other heavy vehicles? We’d like to hear from you. Road sweeper experience is highly regarded, but it isn’t essential if you have a solid heavy vehicle background and the right skills.
We’re looking for someone who can diagnose problems properly, work independently and take pride in getting the job done right.
The role
- Carry out servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs across our fleet.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults.
- Attend to breakdowns and identify recurring issues to help minimise downtime.
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure vehicles and equipment are secure and ready for work.
What we’re looking for
- A trade-qualified heavy diesel or heavy vehicle mechanic.
- Experience working on road sweepers, tipper trucks, heavy commercial vehicles or similar equipment.
- Strong fault-finding skills, a practical approach and attention to detail.
- Someone reliable and organised who can work independently and communicate well with our operations team.
Experience with hydraulics, PTO-driven equipment and road sweeper systems will be particularly well regarded.
