The Prospect
- Part time (0.6FTE), Fixed term until 30 June 2027 (due to funding)
- Preston office on Wurunderji Country
- $105K + Super & Salary Packaging (pro rata)
The Early Learning is Fun program delivers supported playgroups for families experiencing vulnerability and children from birth to school age.
As a Children & Families Playgroup Facilitator, you will work alongside a co-facilitator to deliver culturally safe and engaging playgroups that strengthen parenting confidence and promote children’s learning and development through play.
You will also provide limited case support, advocacy and referrals to help families access early education, health, family and community services. This role includes outreach and collaboration with local service providers across the City of Whittlesea.
About You
You are an engaging and culturally responsive practitioner who is passionate about supporting young children and families. You can create safe and playful learning environments,
build trusting relationships and work collaboratively with families and community services.
You will bring:
- Experience facilitating groups and supporting children and families experiencing vulnerability.
- Strong engagement, communication, assessment and referral skills.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Welfare, Early Childhood Education or a related discipline.
Knowledge of infant mental health, family violence services or a relevant community language would be highly regarded. A current driver’s licence and Working with Children Check are required.
