We’re looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our Finish Area (Paint Bay, Picking, Packing & Loading) team at Network Steel.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll lead the day-to-day operation of the area, support your team to perform at their best, and make sure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
You’ll be joining us at an exciting time, with our Cleveland operation relocating to our new Stapylton facility in January 2027.

What you’ll be doing
- Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Finish Area/Paint Bay
- Allocate work and ensure production targets and deadlines are met
- Support, coach and develop team members
- Monitor quality and ensure work is completed to required standards
- Promote a strong safety culture and safe work practices
- Identify and resolve operational issues to keep work moving
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient work area
- Work closely with other teams to ensure smooth production flow
What we’re looking for
You’ll be a practical and confident leader who knows how to get the best out of a team.
You’ll bring:
- A current Forklift licence (essential)
- Previous experience leading a team in a manufacturing, production or similar environment
- Strong communication and people skills
- A hands-on approach and willingness to get involved
- The ability to prioritise work and keep a team on track
- A strong focus on safety, quality and accountability
- Positive problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset
- Experience in steel, fabrication, painting or finishing environments will be highly regarded
