Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based and person-centred occupational therapy services to clients.
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized care plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions in line with NDIS guidelines.
- Collaborate with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Supervise and mentor team members to ensure ongoing professional development and adherence to best practices.
- Ensure all home modifications meet AS1428 and other disability access standards, tailored to clients' specific needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports in compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Framework.
Essential Criteria:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy or a relevant qualification.
- Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Solid working knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), NDIS Quality and Safeguards Framework, and SDA Design Standards.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical supervision and professional development as required by the appropriate professional body.
- Understanding of AS1428 and other disability access standards, and their application to home modifications.
- Commitment to person-centred and evidence-based approaches.
Mandatory Requirements:
- NDIS Mandatory Worker Orientation Certificate of Completion.
- COVID-19 Infection Control Certificate.
- Current First Aid, CPR, and Anaphylaxis Training.
- 100 points of identification.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance (within the last 5 years).
- Recent Criminal Records Check (within the last 2 years) with no prior convictions.
- Valid right to work in Australia.
