The Customer Engagement Team acts as Zoos Victoria's Customer Experience Hub, managing all customer channels, touchpoints and enquiries. Our highly skilled operators support a diverse range of customer needs, from assisting members of the public with emergency wildlife rescue enquiries to supporting donors, agencies and conservation partners during critical conservation events.

The team's role is to support both internal and external customers while strengthening their connection and lifetime loyalty to Zoos Victoria.

What We're Looking For

- A passionate and experienced customer service professional who delivers exceptional service through engaging customer interactions. You can build rapport, understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions that enhance the customer experience.

- A results-focused individual who can identify opportunities to maximise booking occupancy and revenue. You are confident converting enquiries into bookings while maintaining a customer-first approach.

- A collaborative team player who enjoys contributing to a positive and supportive team environment. You actively share knowledge, best practices and insights to help drive team success and continuous improvement.

About You

- Experience in a high-volume contact centre environment managing complex customer enquiries.

- Proficiency in navigating multiple systems, including Salesforce CRM.





- Solid interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.

- Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions in complex situations.

- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- A positive, collaborative approach and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences while supporting Zoos Victoria's conservation mission.

Mandatory Training Requirement

Applicants must be available to attend mandatory paid training and commit to one of the following training groups:

Group 1

- October: 16, 20, 21, 27 and 28

- November: 4, 10, 11 and 13

Group 2

- October: 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30

- November: 5, 6, 12 and 13

Standard training sessions: 10:00am to 5:00pm
