Female - Vietnamese speaking Disability Support Worker – Carindale, Brisbane
Ongoing Morning Shifts | Monday to Friday | Community & In-Home Support

Nextt is seeking a reliable and proactive FEMALE Disability Support Worker to provide ongoing support to a client living in Carindale, Brisbane.

The client has a spinal cord injury and is highly independent, with a robust support network of family and friends. She lives with her husband and two daughters in a single-level home and is bilingual in English and Vietnamese.

This role would suit a Support Worker who enjoys providing practical day-to-day assistance, community access and helping someone maintain their independence at home.

Shift Details

- Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 1:30pm
- Ongoing availability is preferred

About the Role
The client is independently mobile using a four-wheeled walker or walking sticks, and manual transfers are not required during shifts.

Your support will mainly involve providing an extra pair of hands with activities that can be more difficult due to muscle weakness, including:

- Laundry and changing bed linen
- Vacuuming, cleaning and general household tasks
- Tidying and helping with household organisation
- Assisting with more complex meal preparation when required
- Moving bowls, kitchen items and assisting with washing up




- Supporting the client with shopping and carrying grocery bags
- Transporting and accompanying the client to appointments
- Supporting attendance at the gym and hydrotherapy
- Providing community access and helping the client maintain her usual routines and independence

The client also has a dog, so applicants should be comfortable working in a home with pets.

Requirements
To be considered, you will need:

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check/ Yellow Card
- Current Working With Children Check/ Blue Card - Employee
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- NDIS Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and You
- Current valid Driver's Licence
- Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- Relevant disability support experience

Pay Rates
E3.1 (Casual in home and SIL)
SCHADS Award E3.1 Casual Rates (before tax):

- Base hourly rate: $36.81
- Afternoon shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $40.49
- Active Night shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday) $41.23
- Saturday: $51.54
- Sunday: $66.26
- Public holiday: $80.99
