Your new role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a collaborative finance team based in Forest Glen. This position has become available due to the departure of a long-standing team member and offers the opportunity to join a stable and growing organisation with strong employee retention.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Matching purchase orders, dockets and supporting documentation to invoices
- Managing supplier accounts and performing account reconciliations
- Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies and account queries
- Liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely payment processing
- Assisting with month-end Accounts Payable activities
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company procedures
- Providing administrative support and assisting with ad hoc finance-related tasks as required
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable role
- Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced workplace
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
- Experience using ERP systems
- Experience with Viewpoint or TechnologyOne would be highly regarded but is not essential
- Experience within construction, civil, infrastructure or project-based industries will be advantageous
- Current driving licence and reliable transport
