Marland Mushrooms QLD is seeking an experienced and reliable Maintenance Electrician to join our team in a full time permanent position on a two-week rotating roster. This role is critical to ensuring the ongoing performance and reliability of our Prepack Dept operations, mushroom slicing rooms, weigh line systems, and conveyor equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems to ensure production runs efficiently with minimal downtime.
Key responsibilities
Carry out electrical maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on mushroom compost filling machines and associated site equipment
Ensure filling equipment is operating safely, efficiently, and consistently
Perform preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and production interruptions
Respond promptly to equipment faults and breakdowns to minimise downtime
Work closely with the Department Managers to support daily operations
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across equipment and processes
Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety standards
About you
Qualified Electrician with relevant trade qualification
Strong experience in maintenance within a food production, manufacturing, or industrial environment
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical faults
Proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Solid communication skills and ability to work closely with Prepack and Harvest Depts
Electrical Trade qualification essential
Minimum 2+ years' experience in a similar role in a food manufacturing setting (preferred)
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing HACCP and GMP standards
