Dental Assistant – Join Our New Dental Practice in Dickson
Dickson Dental on Cape is seeking a friendly, reliable and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to help establish a new, modern dental practice focused on providing caring, high-quality treatment to patients of all ages.
Key responsibilities
Providing chairside assistance during clinical procedures
Comply with sterilisation and cross infection prevention procedures and protocols
Maintaining accurate sterilisation records and completing routine equipment checks
Taking responsibility for surgery setup and turnaround between patients
Supporting patients and helping them feel comfortable during appointments
Maintaining clinical stock and advising when supplies need to be ordered
Helping with reception duties when required, including answering calls, booking appointments and processing payments
Maintaining a clean, organised and qualified clinical environment
About you
Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
Certificate III in Dental Assisting is desirable but not essential for the right candidate
Knowledge of current infection-prevention and sterilisation requirements
Friendly, caring and professional manner
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Reliable, organised and able to use initiative
Comfortable working with both adults and children
Willingness to learn and grow with the practice
