Facilities Manager

Sydney, NSW | Full Time | $95,000 + Superannuation - Commencement 1st November.

An established and growing Australian facilities management and property services business is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join its Sydney-based operations team. This is a hands-on operational role suited to someone who enjoys managing contractors, coordinating maintenance works and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently, safely and to a high standard.

The Role

· Manage reactive and planned maintenance work orders from receipt through to completion

· Allocate and coordinate subcontractors and service providers

· Obtain and review quotations for maintenance and repair works

· Monitor contractor performance, response times and completion of works

· Manage preventative maintenance schedules

· Ensure SLA and KPI requirements are achieved

· Maintain compliance documentation, contractor records and service reports

· Review completed works, supporting documentation and contractor invoices

· Liaise with clients, site managers, contractors and internal stakeholders

· Identify recurring maintenance issues and recommend practical solutions

· Assist with budgeting and cost control

· Maintain accurate records within the facilities/work-order management system





· Escalate major operational, safety or compliance issues where required

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, responsive and comfortable managing multiple jobs and contractors at the same time. Ideally, you will have:

· Previous facilities management, property maintenance or similar operational experience

· Strong contractor and supplier management skills

· Experience managing reactive and preventative maintenance

· Valuable understanding of commercial property maintenance

· Strong communication and client service skills

· Good computer and work-order management system skills

· Ability to prioritise urgent works and manage competing deadlines

· Commercial awareness when reviewing quotations and maintenance costs

· A practical, solutions-focused approach

· Current Australian driver licence
