Order Picker — Dispatch Team

Full-time, on the ground, outdoors. You’ll be the person who picks the plants that go out our gate — and the reason our customers get exactly what they ordered, in the condition they expect.

What the job actually looks like

You’ll work off the day’s orders, moving through the yard to select and stage plant material for dispatch. It’s real work — outside, on your feet, in whatever weather turns up — talking to sales, and loading trucks so the plants turn up on site looking fantastic. The range here is enormous, so learn the plants, and you become genuinely hard to replace.

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am – 4:00pm; Friday, 7:30am – 3:15pm.

What you’ll be doing
Pick to a standard, not just to a number. Select against the order and call what’s fit to go out. Quality control starts with the picker.
Stage and load with care. Load trucks so plants travel well — the last ten minutes of our job is the customer’s first impression.
Time to shine. Notice what’s running low or out of place. Valuable pickers see problems before the paperwork does.

What you’ll bring
A genuine interest in plants. Nursery,



landscape or horticulture experience helps — but we’d rather train the right attitude.
An eye for detail. You can work through a run of orders on your own and get them right, without someone checking over your shoulder.
Fitness for physical work. On your feet all day, outdoors, lifting and moving stock. It keeps you fit; it also needs to suit you.
A straightforward way with people. You’ll deal with sales staff, drivers and the yard team every day. Transparent and reliable beats loud.

Pay: $28.00 – $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38.0 per week
