Individual FluteTeacher(s) | BMS Academy CanberraBMS Academy has an exciting prospect for motivated and agile Flute Teachers to join our team in Canberra starting October 2026.We are looking for passionate teachers to take over an existing teaching schedule and deliver engaging individual lessons to a wonderful group of students aged 10 through to adults. We are currently seeking one or more teachers to cover the following established block:
Tuesdays: 3:30 pm – 7:00 pm
(Note: There is some flexibility to discuss minor time adjustments for these schedules).

Role Overview
Lesson Format: 1-on-1 individual lessons (typically 30 minutes per student).
Load: Roughly 6 to 10 consecutive lessons per afternoon block.
Timeline: Aligned with the ACT Public School Terms. We ask for a minimum 12-month commitment to ensure continuity for our students.

What You Need to Apply
Musical Proficiency: Minimum Grade 8 AMEB level (or equivalent qualification/experience).
Education: Minimum completion of Year 12.
Compliance: A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) card is mandatory.




Employment Structure: This is an independent contracting role. You must hold, or be willing to obtain, a valid Australian Business Number (ABN). You can learn more about setting up an ABN via the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

Highly Regarded (But Not Essential)
University music qualifications are preferred
but university students are highly encouraged to apply!
The ability to teach additional instruments is a fantastic plus.
