Female Disability Support Worker Required – Enoggera Area

Salt Human Services is currently seeking an experienced, compassionate, and reliable female support worker to assist a female participant living in the Enoggera area.
This role involves providing person-centred support to a participant who perks from consistent, patient, and understanding assistance to maintain her independence, access the community, engage in meaningful activities, and manage her day-to-day routine.
We are seeking someone who is calm, empathetic, dependable, and reassuring, with the ability to build trust and establish positive rapport. The participant experiences cognitive changes and advantages from a worker who can provide gentle reassurance, consistency, and support while respecting her choices and independence.

Support Duties Include:
Community access and social support
Assistance attending appointments and activities
Grocery shopping and errands
Companionship and meaningful engagement
Routine building and daily living support
Reassurance and emotional support
Encouraging independence and choice
General assistance as required during shifts
Essential Requirements:
Female support worker
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
Current Blue Card
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
Driver's Licence
Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
Robust communication skills
Ability to work independently and proactively
Desirable:
Previous experience supporting participants with cognitive, neurological, or similar support needs
Experience in Disability Support, Aged Care, Community Services, or a related field
Understanding of person-centred support practices
Confidence providing calm and reassuring support when a participant may be experiencing confusion or changes in perception
This role would suit a patient, reliable, and compassionate female support worker who understands the importance of consistency and building a trusting working relationship.
