As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will work with children, young people and adults with a range of disabilities and support needs. Key responsibilities
Completing functional behaviour assessments and behaviour assessments
Developing, implementing and reviewing evidence-based Behaviour Support Plans
Working collaboratively with participants, families, support workers and other professionals
Supporting participants to develop skills and increase their independence
Providing practical strategies that can be implemented by support teams
Completing observations, data collection and functional assessments
Providing training and coaching to families and support workers
Monitoring outcomes and reviewing strategies based on data
Supporting the reduction and elimination of restrictive practices where applicable
Maintaining high-quality clinical documentation and NDIS compliance
About you
Relevant tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, disability, counselling or another relevant discipline
Experience working with people with disability and/or complex support needs
Understanding of positive behaviour support and the NDIS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work remotely
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Working with Children Check, where applicable
Current Australian driver's licence
Passionate about improving the lives of people with disability
