We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent full time Mechanical Fitter to join our Maintenance Reliability team on the Day Shift.
If you have experience within FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) manufacturing, or are looking to build your experience within the industry, this could be the opportunity for you.
We are looking for a qualified Mechanical Fitter who brings the right attitude, a strong team focus and a willingness to learn and contribute within a rapid-paced manufacturing environment.
The successful applicant will demonstrate solid mechanical knowledge and skills, attention to detail, reliability and effective communication within a team workplace.
The successful applicant will:
Hold a relevant qualification – Fitter Trade Certificate or equivalent
Ideally have experience within the FMCG manufacturing industry
Be able to work independently and proactively across preventative maintenance schedules, breakdowns and other assigned maintenance tasks
Be available to work Day Shift, Monday to Friday.
Have flexibility to work additional shifts or weekends where required
Have sound knowledge of mechanical equipment and the skills required to maintain, repair and install equipment
Be competent in diagnosing faults, responding to production breakdowns and supporting production start-ups and equipment settings
Be competent in servicing and maintaining industrial equipment
Have a strong customer focus and team-oriented approach
Be familiar with, or able to learn, computerised maintenance management systems
Communicate effectively with management and operational teams regarding equipment and maintenance issues
Demonstrate positive behaviours aligned with Sanitarium’s values and be a reliable member of the team
