Service Desk Analyst (L1) | Long-Term Contract | Wellington | Immediate Start
Location: Wellington, NZ (Onsite at Client Site)
Contract: 2 years contract with view to extend
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Service Desk Analyst (Level 1) to join our client's onsite IT support team in Wellington. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT support professional looking for a long-term contract within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and resolve incidents through Service Desk ticketing systems, ensuring SLA targets are consistently met.
Respond to, troubleshoot, restore, and resolve user issues in a timely manner.
Escalate incidents and service requests appropriately when required.
Perform routine workstation maintenance, software installations, updates, and hardware upgrades.
Support public access computers and end-user devices.
Manage user access requests, including account creation, modification, and deactivation.
Administer and maintain Active Directory user accounts and security groups.
Provide excellent customer service and technical support to end users.
Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, requests, and resolutions.





Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience in a Service Desk, Help Desk, or Desktop Support role.
Hands-on experience with Service Desk ticketing tools.
Good understanding of Windows operating systems, desktop hardware, and common business applications.
Experience with Active Directory user administration.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer service focus and qualified approach.

Desirable Skills
Experience supporting enterprise environments.
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and user management.
Familiarity with ITIL processes and SLA-driven support environments.
