OverviewAWS is seeking Systems Development Engineers to support secure cloud infrastructure environments within the AWS Region Services team.
This role is responsible for supporting systems engineering, automation, operational tooling and infrastructure reliability across highly secure AWS environments supporting sensitive workloads.

Key responsibilities include:Supporting systems engineering and operational tooling activitiesDeveloping and improving automation, monitoring and self-healing systemsSupporting operational management systems and process improvementsParticipating in production acceptance testing and hardware evaluationsMonitoring system health, maintenance and reporting activitiesSupporting infrastructure reliability and operational efficiency initiativesParticipating in on-call rotations and incident response activities when requiredSkills and experienceMinimum 3 years' experience in systems engineering, networking, storage systems or operating systems administrationExperience programming in languages such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C# or RustExperience working within Linux/Unix environmentsStrong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skillsExperience supporting operational infrastructure environmentsExperience with distributed systems at scale highly regardedAbility to work collaboratively across technical and operational teamsRequirementsAustralian Citizenship requiredMust hold, or be eligible to obtain, an Australian Government Security ClearanceAbility to successfully complete an Organisational Suitability AssessmentAbility to participate in on-call and out-of-hours operational support as requiredAbility to work within highly secure operational environmentsJob detailsVacancies: 1
