OverviewAWS is seeking Engineering Operations Technicians (EOTs) to support the operation and maintenance of critical infrastructure within AWS data centre environments.
This role is responsible for hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, facility operations and maintenance activities that help keep AWS cloud infrastructure running securely and reliably.
The role requires solid technical troubleshooting skills, operational awareness and the ability to work within fast-paced, mission-critical environments.About the organisationAWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery and operation of AWS global infrastructure, including the data centres, power systems, cooling systems and networking equipment that keep the cloud running.

maintenance and reliability of critical data centre infrastructure across AWS facilities.Key responsibilitiesSupporting routine and corrective maintenance activities across critical infrastructure systemsTroubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment including generators, UPS systems, HVAC and cooling systemsMonitoring and maintaining facility performance, reliability and operational efficiencySupporting commissioning and build activities for new infrastructure and facilitiesAssisting with projects to improve facility capacity, sustainability and reliabilityManaging contractors, vendors and maintenance activities on-siteSupporting operational reporting, asset management and compliance activitiesParticipating in 24/7 shift rotations and responding to operational incidents when requiredSkills and experienceKnowledge of mechanical, HVAC or critical infrastructure systemsStrong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skillsExperience working within operational or industrial environments highly regardedUnderstanding of service management processes including change and problem management desirableExperience supervising contractors or vendors desirableTechnical trade qualification, military technical training or engineering certification highly regardedAbility to work effectively within shift-based operational environmentsRequirementsAustralian Citizenship requiredMust hold, or be eligible to obtain, an Australian Government Security ClearanceAbility to successfully complete an Organisational Suitability AssessmentValid and current Driver's Licence requiredAbility to work 24/7 rotating shift patterns, including 12-hour shiftsAbility to travel and relocate during onboarding and training periods if requiredJob detailsVacancies: 1
